Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is coaching?

Coaching is the process that can help you achieve a goal by helping you clarify your goals, assess the obstacles, including you, that are keeping you from achieving that goal.

  • Do I need a coach?

If you haven’t figured it out on your own, stop struggling. You are capable of accomplishing anything but it’s not wrong to need additional expertise, support, and resources to help you. There’s no reason to go it alone, especially if you’ve tried many times and don’t feel like you are getting anywhere.

  • Why should I consider coaching?

You’re in serious need of a change but are unsure of what change, why, or how to go about it. Coaching not only helps you achieve your goals, it can be transformative in how you shift your mindset, how you try new actions you never would have considered before, and how you think about your results.

  • What do clients get coached on?

No topic is off limits for coaching. For career coaching, you may be struggling with a specific situation such as a toxic manager, conflicts, or managing communications. You may be trying to figure out what you’re really meant to do and how to make a transition. As an entrepreneur, you may need a partner to shift from a manager who does to CEO who leads. You may need consulting on how to take your business to the next level, including your leadership.

  • How long does coaching take?

Progress and success takes time. Fast results usually don’t last. Depending on your goal, coaching can take 5-10 sessions over 3-6 months. You can expect to see progress during and between sessions. Give yourself the time to take action and be patient with the process and your progress. It will pay off in the long term.

  • What can I expect to get out of coaching?

A coach is your confidential partner and sounding board to speak freely about your frustrations and fears. A coach will help you see your blind spots and focus on what you should do to get results. A coach can objectively call out any resistance holding you back and motivate you to stay the course and hold yourself accountable.
